Constructed in 1997, the 426,000 sq. ft., galvanizing plant employs 185 workers processing more than 1.55 million tons of steel per year. The plant serves as the bridge between the capabilities of major steel producers and the specialized needs of end-users. Its processes include pickling, hot-dipped galvanizing, slitting and tension leveling. Production on the galvanizing and pickling lines runs 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Production on the slitting line runs 24 hours per day, five to six days per week.
