The 500,000 sq. ft., plant was constructed in 1990 by CW Wood Manufacturing a maker of freezers and refrigerators for a number of brands including, Amana, Maytag, Crosley, Danby, Whirlpool and Wood. Whirlpool acquired the factory that employs 190, in 2010 following the bankruptcy of WC Wood in 2009.
