Jackson Butte

Isolated mesa inside the curve of an abandoned meander (Jackson Hole) of the Colorado River. Like the terrain around it, its top slopes upward to the west.
The name comes from the Latitude 40 Degrees map "Classic Moab Utah Trails Recreation Topo Map" (ISBN 1-879866-22-6). It is unnamed on the topographic map of the area: USGS Gold Bar Canyon (1:24,000).
