Abandoned meander of the Colorado River, curving around a central mesa (Jackson Butte). From above it looks like a curving valley. Site of a dirt road used by mountain bikers, motorcyclists, four-wheel-drive fans. Riding/driving access via Kane Creek Road and Hurrah Pass. Mountain bike and walking access via Amasa Back Trail and a steep, rocky trail called Jackson's Ladder. Not related to the town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
