  • That is a good description, but the other end of the tunnel the west portal is in the San Jacinto zip code unless they have added a new zip code for the Soboba Indian Reservation which is just east of the West Portal. And by the way, the Cabazon Adit or portal has some interesting foundations for heavy machinery used in building the tunnel plus a huge pile of rubble taken out of the tunnel.
  • The west portal can be found on the north side Soboba Rd just east of State Street in the San Jacinto area. The San Jacinto River is on the south side of Soboba Rd. San Jacinto Community College is near the corner of of Soboba Rd and State Street.
  • Why don't you follow the diagonal line on this map just south of this highlighted plot. Follow the line northeast and see the Colorado River Aqueduct Spillway. Follow the line southwest and end up at the Potrero Shaft (tunnel midway point) and continue following the line southwest and find the West Portal of the San Jacinto Tunnel on Soboba Rd in San Jacinto area.
