Historic archeological site and park listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

Built: c. 1681 (original house, no longer existing)
Areas of significance: Archeology; Religion
Area: 3.6 acres
Also known as: Pocomoke Farm (historic name)
Date added to NRHP: 2/15/2007
Notes: This site was once the home of Francis Makemie (1658-1708), the founder of the Presbyterian Church in America. Archeological excavation of the site has revealed evidence of three structures that once stood on the site, one of which was the family home of Makemie. Today, only scattered fragments remain of these structures, and most of the evidence for them still exists below ground. Now open to the public as a park, the site contains a pyramidal commemorative marker built in 1907 out of bricks found onsite, as well as a modern statue of Francis Makemie.
