  • I think you will find that the original church was built by Jesuit priests with the consent (of course) of the Emperor. He (or his sucessor) later had it broken down; it was even later (with permission of course) rebuilt, and then later than that enlarged to its present fine state.The priests in the Cathedral office will give you detailed information.
