The portal commissioned by the friars to the old church of Santa Maria Nuova in San Lazzaro, was made in 1498 by master Bernardino Stone by Carona.
It is a splendid portal at Candlestick topped by a bezel with the center of the half-bust in marble of the Savior which was added after mounting the portal in the new building. The half-bust of uncertain date and modest bill, remember the previous name of the church also reaffirmed inscription that runs along the arch of the lunette "templum St. Saviour."
The portal and porch have been recently restored (1993-95) due to the contribution of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Fano.
