W.L. Locke House is an Oakland residence built in 1911, which was designed by John Hudson Thomas who was influenced by Viennese Secessionists. The home is eclectic in style and displays elements of the Mission Revival, Prairie School and American Craftsman styles. The home was commissioned by William Lovering Locke.
