I love this place. God Bless the SCPA and its volunteers. When I was a child I always wanted a dog, but could never have one. Finally, when I was already in high school, my mom agreed to let me get one. The first place we looked was here at the SCPA. I remember walking back through the kennels when a handsome Labrador retriever caught our eye. He was so playful and kind, he stuck his paws out beneath the gate of the kennel so that we could pet him and he could touch us. Needless to say we went home with that dog the same day and have loved him since.
