The church is located in Scheggia , the main town of the municipality of Scheggia and Pascelupo (PG) .
The church is in conurbation with other buildings and with them he shares some structures (in this case the two side walls delimiting the classroom ) . The entrance is from Via Roma , the main front on which it is characterized by a wooden door frame with sandstone bounded by two pilasters made of brick elements decorated the façade is made of stone on which it is possible to see the traces of an ' original rose window , then closed to make way for two rectangular windows always underlined by a stone . The rear facing toward the river Sentinum ( already covered bridge ) , is characterized by surface semicurve stone face view of the apse, the volumes containing service rooms and the emergency represented by the bell tower and clock (not subject to intervention if not for the local service on the ground floor of the church). The side elevations are enclosed by adjacent private buildings and through the side door , the building that faces off Scarinci , leads to the rooms adjoining the church (entrance, weekday chapel , sacristy with underlying ct , local service ) . The classroom is trapezoidal , tapering towards the entrance of the wooden gallery which also insists the service body , laterally , on each side , there are three niches , two with altars and the central one with wooden confessional , even the side short at the sides of the entrance contains two niches , one for the original stone baptismal font and another confessional smaller. The classroom is covered by a segmental elements of plastered brick . A triumphal arch stresses the view of the presbytery ( one step higher than the classroom ) terminating in a semicircular apse , the sides of which there is a wooden choir and the center of the tabernacle . From a side door of the classroom leads to the weekday chapel (once also used to increase the capacity ) and a presbytery leads to the sacristy . Over time to cover the classroom and the presbytery there is a compartment "technical" below the roof structure itself of the church , rebuilt (in recent years ) pitched two- and fan- beam ca varese or type of brick work and tavelloni .
