In 1920, Nash Motors constructed a factory to build the Nash Four (original building is located in the north west part of the site). Shortly thereafter, Nash purchased Indianapolis based Lafayette Motors and moved it to Milwaukee and constructed a new plant adjacent to the Nash Four plant in 1922 tripling capacity.
