Axis Pipe & Tube is a newly formed company (the parent being Prolamsa Group) to produce steel pipe and tube products. This facility is a steel mill designed to produce more than 300,000 tons of steel pipe per year. The location was selected because it is located in the heart of Texas oil country and shipping costs will be more reasonable from here. Production began in the second quarter of 2014.
