A trio of 3-story Italianate residential buildings completed together in 1845 as rowhouses. Originally identical, they have each had minor alterations over the years. Each is clad in red brick over a brownstone basement and retain the original stoops. The original railing at No. 23 has been replaced by a simple wrought iron one. All the doorways of the row have brick reveals, simple stone lintels, and the new double doors with transom that superseded the earlier Greek Revival single door with sidelights. The roof cornices with modillions and brackets are part of alterations of the late 19th Century. These houses look over the attractive St. John's Garden at the rear.
