387 Bleecker Street

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / Bleecker Street, 387

3-story residential building originally completed in 1818 as a 2-story frame house, one of the oldest in Greenwich Village (along with its neighbor at 385 Bleecker). In the late 1800s, stores were added with a projecting boxed cornice, and a third floor was added. The building is crowned with a simple fascia and cornice. Decoration is now provided by unusual semicircular railings beneath some of the top floor windows.

The facade has been stuccoed and painted pale yellow. The ground floor is occupied by Mulberry leather goods and accessories.
