3-story residential building originally completed in 1818 as a 2-story frame house, one of the oldest in Greenwich Village (along with its neighbor at 387 Bleecker). In the late 1800s, stores were added with a projecting boxed cornice; a third floor was added; and the house was lengthened to the end of the lot on the Perry Street side to obtain an entry there to its upper floors. The facade has been stuccoed, and is now painted dark grey.
