Egypt / al-Minya / Melawi /
 archeological site, bas-relief

The stele is - like all the others at the borders of the reign of Echnatons capital Achetaton - directly cut into the limestone rock. It shows Echnaton and his family worshipping the one and only god - Aton. This stele is protected and under glas, so photos are not easy to take when sun is shining. To get an idea - click stele B just some kilometers in the south. The causeway is a modern one to make the way to the stele easier for tourists.
