Obviously the site of the commander of the quarries and the administrative staff with quite comfortable houses and pools as well as a small temple. Nevertheless - the relatively comfortable life (compared to the workers and slaves in the quarries) did not help too much in the brutal heat and the fact that Rome and Bycantine was very far away.
