A row of 2.5-story Federal-style houses completed between 1827 and 1834. With the exception of No. 2 1/2, subsequently altered by the addition of a third story with bracketed cornice and steel casement windows, this row of houses has been modified very little.

No. 2 1/2 was the first to be completed, in 1825, for James N. Wells. It was followed by No. 6 in 1827 for D.G. Van Winkle and No. 8 in 1829 for Abraham Storms, Jr., but both were extensively remodeled in 1834 by Mr. Wells, along with No. 2 1/2. The same year, Wells erected No. 4. All of the houses were 2.5 stories tall, with two dormer windows at roof level, and are clad in red brick - except for No. 2 1/2 which was raised an extra floor in the late 1800s, and resurfaced in stucco at the first floor and painted grey.
