Four 3-story Greek-revival residential buildings completed together in 1840 as rowhouses. Nos. 14 & 16 remain closest to their original appearance; they retain their original stoops and doorways, which are framed by simple pilasters supporting an entablature consisting of architrave, frieze and cornice. The overhanging wood roof cornice and fascia board are the originals.

The two end houses of the row have been considerably altered. At No. 12, a basement entry has replaced the stoop, and the windows of the second floor (formerly the parlor floor) have had their sills raised. No. 18 has been extensively remodeled with new windows, a stuccoed front, and parapet with bracketed overhang in front.

The facades of Nos. 16 & 18 are partially covered with ivy. A passageway between 10 & 12 Grove Street, closed by an iron gate, leads to Grove Court.
