​Sleeba Church​

Sleeba Church , Pathamuttom was consecrated in 1935 as Dayara (monastery) Chapel by his Grace Kuriakose Mar Gregorious (Pampady Thirumeni) & later became a parish under the Kottayam Diocese of The Malankara Orthodox Church.
The Very Rev. Ramban Fr. M. C. Kuriakose B.A. is the founder of the Sleeba Church. The foundation stone was laid in 1934 and inaugurated in 1935 by His Grace Kuriakose Mar Gregorious (Pampady Thirumeni). His Grace Moran Mar Baselios Geevarghese II was the then Catholicos of the Church, whose period (1929 - 1964) is considered the Golden Era.

His Holiness Baselius Marthoma Paulose II is the present Catholicos of the Church. He also acts as the Metropolitan of the Kottayam Diocese.
The Church has 135 families as its members. Senior bishop of the Church and the Metropolitan of Calcutta Diocese His Grace Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosios (late) was a member of the parish and beloved heir of the Very Rev. Ramban Fr. M. C. Kuriakose, founder of Sleeba Church. A senior priest of Calcutta Diocese, Rev. Fr. K. K. Joseph is a member of this parish.
The Church is in the path of spiritual growth and other development activities. The power of the Holy Spirit, the intercession of Mother Mary and the prayers of M.C. Kuriakose Ramban provide healing to sick, offer peace and tranquility to those who come here.
