The parish church is located in Pian San Martino , part of the municipality of Todi (PG) .
A reliable medieval tradition , mentioned by the bishop's chancellor Bonaventure Pianegiani in his " Handbook of Iuspatronato existing Alphabetical Chapels in the Diocese " , written in 1867 , tells that this place has been the birthplace of Pope Martin I. The present parish church in dedicated to him , situated on the road leading to Cecanibbi , dates from the beginning of the last century , but in the interior , are a stone capital of the twelfth century , and two paintings of the later sixteenth century Umbrian and mannered , dating back to the previous system . The present church is a neo-Gothic building , with three naves , separated by polygonal pillars , covered with cross vaults grouped into two bays with pointed arch soffits , raised presbytery and a polygonal apse with pilasters supported by brackets . The interior of the building, plastered and painted , has just pointed arches , with a false women's gallery on the left side and two balusters with spiral columns overlooking the presbytery ; decorative elements are painted terracotta . The main façade consists of a central gable and two lower wings that match the aisles, is also plastered with terracotta bands and appeals . On the left side is the imposing bell tower cuspidata , with stone basement and upper levels in a brick wall at facing .
