The seven story, Art Deco, industrial building was constructed in 1920-23 for the AJ Johnston Confectionery and Cracker Company. Initially producing cookies and crackers, the company expanded into chocolates and toppings and is now a national leader in ice cream toppings, chocolate syrups and ice cream ingredients. In 1970 the company was acquired by Ward Foods and later in 1980 by Terson Holdings. It is now known as Masterson Company.
