Block G (Deaerator stack)

Block G, also known as the deaerator stack, is located between the combined turbine hall and the reactor units of the station. To the south of the damaged Unit 4, the roof of the "Shelter" structure rests on the deaerator stack.

The upper levels of the building house the deaerator rooms, where gases are removed from the coolant, along with pipeline corridors. The lower levels contain sanitary facilities, main corridors of the restricted area, and cable rooms. The building also includes rooms for the unit control panels (UCPs) of the station's units and the centralized monitoring system "Skala."

At the +10.0 m level of the building is the so-called "golden corridor" (Room G301), which runs the entire length of the building and connects to the technical rooms of all the NPP units.
