462-470 6th Avenue

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas), 462-470
 rowhouse, 1840s construction

3-story joined mercantile buildings, originally completed in 1842-44 as rowhouses for James Marsh. Clad in red brick, they were part of the development of the block by Daniel A. Baldwin, an attorney. The 6th Avenue facade stretches 15 bays of windows with brown-painted stone sills and metal cornices. There are three separate roof cornices, two of which have dentils. In 1928 architect Charles M. Straub converted the upper floors of no. 462 into two apartments, one per floor.

The ground floors are now occupied by Right Smoke & Magazine shop, Greenwich Gallery frame shop, Charlie Mom Chinese restaurant, Ricky's Professional Haircare, and BLT Burger.
