house, NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, interesting place
Two historic homes dating originally to the first few years of the 19th century. The original structure had a brick wing added to it in the mid 1800s. This wing was separated from the main house in the late 1960s, and took on the address of 109 Tradd Street, with the original residence retaining the 32 Legare Street address. The original home gets its name from a pair of high wrought iron gates that feature two broad swords prominently in their design.
