Estate home in the Federal style built in 1825 by Thomas Bennett, Jr., a lumber businessman and state politician. The home was built after Bennett's return to Charleston after his governorship of the state of South Carolina from 1820 to 1822. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
