Near the village of the district members Nebelevka Archangel Ukrainian joint expedition and British archeologists have unearthed and examined the settlement and the temple with an altar trypilska culture. Settlement existed six thousand years ago and is considered the largest in Europe at that time.
First of Tripoli near the settlement became known through Nebelevki search Uman archaeologist V.Stefanovicha in the sixties of the last century. In accordance with the Institute of Archaeology excavation Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, held in 70-80 years of the last century, the area of the monument is about three hundred acres. Tripoli is the largest settlement in Europe.
To this date (sept 2012), the only known European man-made altar Tripoli culture, which has been preserved in the primary form as a complete archaeological complex.
In the summer of 2009 Professor of the Institute of Archaeology of NAS M.Videyko and British scientist, prof of University of Durham (UK) D.Chepmen initiated the Ukrainian-British expedition to which this year joined by scientists from nine countries of the world.
