Merlion Park (Republic of Singapore)

Originally located at the Merlion Park by the Esplanade Bridge, the Merlion and the Cub became a popular tourist attraction for visitors. The Installation ceremony took place on 15 September 1972, officiated by the then Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.
There are three Merlion in Singapore:
1) In Singapore city.
2) Back of the Big Merlion is the small Merlion.
3) On Sentosa Island resort.

  • The Merlion has been moved from it's original location on The Esplanade.
  • the merlion statue had struck by lightning. so i don't know what Lee Kuan Yew or Lee Hsien Loong to decide whether to rebuild it or just leave it.
