The Dissenters’ Chapel (grade II*) was designed by John Griffith the Surveyor to the General Cemetery Company in 1831-34 and was the first purpose-built Nonconformist funerary chapel constructed in a cemetery. The Chapel is of the Greek Revival style with a tetrastyle portico in the Ionic Order. The portico has four fluted columns with Ionic capitals and bases.
