This building was part of the new building of the Mint. It was constructed between 1732 and 1740. It blocked the earlier section of the Mint constructed at the end of the 17th century and created a second courtyard.

The Mint operated intermittently at this location between 1697 and 1797. In the late 18th century the buildings were modified and used as government offices.

Today these are controlled by the State History Museum but are rental properties.
