A very good comment from a deleted tag by guest user Deepak- Donagapur village is about 10 km from Bhalki taluka, 45 km from Bidar. It is a big village with approximately 10000 population. It has a primary school, a primary health unit and a veterinary clinic. No lodging facility, no cinema or recreation facility. There are a few temples, a big Shiva temple called Doneshwar temple just outside on the rear side of the village. The village residential boundary at the entrance was mainly restricted by a fort like wall and entrance which is still present. However, new residential houses have been built outside the wall and the village is extending in that direction, along the road that leads to a small village called Alandi, about 3 km away from Donagapur. Majority of people speak Kannada in the village. Other languages spoken include Marathi, Urdu and Hyderabadi Hindi. There are a few small grocery shops (Kirana shops) where you can buy basic day to day useful things. Main shopping is mostly done in Bhalki which is well connected by a tar road. There are a few hotels that cater tea and savouries. Most of the people in the village are educated, especially the younger generation. The village has narrow streets, not very clean, most houses share wall with other houses, there is no concept of garden. There are some coconut trees but otherwise the village has a very dry look. The village has a water tank which is not sufficient to meet the needs of the village. Electricity supply is very limited and irregular with daily power cuts.

Another comment from Deepak-- Open defecation has stopped in the village, Thanks to the Modi govt for this achievement which previously appeared impossible to achieve.
