The Synagogue was built by architect Borys Hershkovych in 1912.
Before the World War II here was a Synagogue and Talmud Torah.
In 1950 this building was transferred to the Ukrainian traffic police.
In October 2002 it was returned to the Jewish community again.

Since 2005 here are Yeshiva Gdola - the highest Jewish religious school for young men and Yeshiva Ktana - school for boys, where Jewish education combines with a secondary school program.
