  • from the description: Established in 1996, the Department of Electrical and Electronics engineering of SSNCE is located within the green-floored campus. Drawing upon SSNCE's tradition of teaching excellence, the department of EEE with 30 faculty and 350 students works closely together in an open, collegial atmosphere. With Anna university's curriculum, the Department places equal emphasis on theoretical and experimental electrical and electronics engineering. Our Mission is to educate students from all over India , including those from the local and rural areas, so that they become enlightened individuals, improving the living standards of their families, industry and society. We provide individual attention and world class quality of Education. The department has been accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation). EEE Department has been organizing many symposium, guest lectures and IEEE Chapter. Department have equipped all facility like standard Labs, Seminar Hall . So far 65% of the eligible current final year under graduate students have been placed in various reputed companies through campus selection. Programmes run by the Department are · B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering · M.E. Power Electronics and Derives Vision * To emphasize teaching of analog and digital electronics, microprocessors, Embedded systems, VLSI, FPGA, DSP and other emerging techniques and give project works based upon these. * To make popular among the students, the use of techniques based above for motor control and other heavy power applications. * To emphasize learning of new analytical tools like those based on artificial intelligence etc. and give projects based upon these. * To emphasize learning of new popular software tools like Matlab, Psim, Pspice, Mathcad, MiPower etc. and introduce additional experiments and projects using these. * To make popular the simulation of electrical systems using the above tools by giving projects based upon the above software.
