Old Town Hall (Ladenburg)

Germany / Baden-Wurttemberg / Ladenburg / Hauptstraße
house, Baroque (architecture), listed building / architectural heritage

The „old town hall“ was completely destroyed during the Thirty Years War and afterwards only mentioned as the „barren place“ in the cadaster. Starting with the amanded version of the cadaster in 1744 the baroque building was mentioned as the „new town hall“. Until the new town hall was finished (administration-building in 1882, Domhof in 1984), the old building served its purpose. Today, the adult education center is located in the „old town hall“. The original of the late gothic „city hall-madonna“ which has been made out of linden wood is exposed in the Lobdengau museum.
