Built along the Mill Pond's southwest shore, this concrete and steel structure was likely used as a siding to roll large logs off of delivery stock into the Mill Pond for later processing. Often referred to as 'the Dam', it once directly led to the water; however, it was often used by persons to jump into the water below - due to safety concerns of the shallow depth of about 6-8 feet (the top of the structure was 10-12 feet above the water surface) the area in front of the structure was filled with sand in the late 1990's forming a beach instead.
