Google Maps shows this location as Fish Traps Archeological Site. The northeast corner, however, appears to be private property, including a nice home, and most of the rest of the site is hi mountains, well above the shoreline of Lake Cahuilla where any fish traps would be located.
We tried to visit in May of 2013, but could find no legal way to access the site. The west end of 65th Ave was blocked by chain link fences & locked gates. The length of 65th Ave & Jackson Street were bordered with chain link w/ razor wire enclosing the private property & nice home. The west end of 66th Ave has a dirt road to the south, but that road was blocked with a cable. Finally, Google maps shows Madison Street approaching from the north, but Madison Street is really just the top of a 30' hi dike w/ gates blocking it.
