This siding is the interchange point between two railroads. It forms the northern terminus of the Ann Arbor Railroad and the southern terminus of the Great Lakes Central Railroad (GLC) Formerly known as or AKA the Tuscola and Saginaw Bay Railroad (TSBY). It is just under a mile long, running between grade crossings at Warren and Joy roads. Great Lakes Central Railroad was purchased in March 2006 by Federated Railways, a wholly owned subsidiary of Federated Capital Corporation. GLC is the largest regional rail system in the great state of Michigan, stretching from Ann Arbor to Traverse City and Petoskey.
