The 7 ASOS provides Tactical Command and Control of air power assets to the JFACC and JFLCC for combat operations. The desert terain of Fort Bliss offers a perfect training ground for JTAC's to continue their training. The support the 7th offers the army is that they send JTACS to deploy with their divisions, example, the 1AD (1st Armored Division), and act as the gateway to the Air Forces attack aircraft to neutralize any hostile threats that the Army division themselves cannot face.
