(Outline Approximate.)
This was the site on which Dr. Basil Creighton began construction of a bath house (what would have been the "third" Manitou Bath House), circa 1907. Little more than the foundation was completed before construction was halted by a legal dispute with investors. The bare foundation remained for many years.
The site was previously occupied by the Norris House hotel, the Manitou Transfer livery stable, and the Sherwood curio shop (previously the Mumper grocery), which were all destroyed in a 1904 fire.
