The Deep Rock Tunnel will connect the existing Belmont and Southport Wastewater Treatment Plants. The proposed tunnel will allow for wastewater to be transferred from the Belmont AWT (which is already at maximum capacity during rain events) to the Southport AWT which can accommodate future wastewater treatment growth capacity.
