Connecting Rods as the name implies, are used to connect the piston to the crank shaft & it converts the reciprocating action of the piston to rotary motion of the crank shaft.
Connecting Rods are made from steel forgings, but malleable or SG Iron CASTINGS & Forgings of C70S6 Material and Alluminium Castings. The conrods are either serrated or groove - and – tenon joints or of Bolt & Nut Design.
