The Speight’s Ale House Tower Junction opened for business in December 2005. Owners Bill and Cath Haig hail originally from Dunedin and have been in the hospitality business for over 30 years. The indoor/outdoor fit out provides Tower Junction patrons with plenty of options , especially during summer.
In 2006 Speight’s Ale House Tower Junction entered the HANZ Hospitality Awards and won the overall prize as The Best Bar/Restaurant in New Zealand. Speight’s Ale House Tower Junction was awarded the Christchurch Entertainment ™ Gold Award in 2008/09 in the Casual Dining section voted anonymously by customers.
The Speight’s Ale House Tower Junction has all of the superb Speight’s family of tap ales available. Our menu features Ale House classics like seafood chowder, blue cod, lamb shanks, steak, venison as well as vegetarian options.
All meals are expertly matched to one of our fine tap ales, although an extensive range of wines, spirits, coffees and non-alcoholic drinks are also available. The Speight’s Ale House also offers set menu options for groups, including package deals which can include a tour of the brewery. If you are looking for the perfect gift, meal vouchers are available on request at the bar.
