West Wales Airport (ICAO: EGFA)

United Kingdom / Wales / Aberporth /

Civil Airport based on the site of the former RAF Aberporth, for many years a base for testing RAF Bloodhound Missiles.

Following a £5m investment, the old Aberporth Aerodrome here is being developed as "West Wales Airport" for domestic flights within Wales and the rest of the United Kingdom. The airport is also developing as a centre for the deployment of civil and military unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The airport has recently undergone drastic developments, with the main runway changing from 945m to 1,257m. West Wales Airport has a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P859) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee. It is not licensed for night use.
