Formerly operated by the Delphi Automotive Group until its 2009 bankruptcy, the Lockport Plant was puchased in 2009 by GM Components Holdings LLC and kept in operation despite heavy workforce and salary reductions at the plant.

Currently administered by Delphi Thermal Systems, the plant produces over 1.6 million evaporators, 2.6 million heater cores and 1.3 million heating, ventilation and air conditioning units for use in GM vehicles. The plant presently employs roughly 1,440 workers.
