Members of Blessed Kateri Catholic Church in Hoopa celebrated Mass here overlooking the Hoopa Valley, on October 21, 2012 just hours after Blessed Kateri was canonized the First Native American Saint at the Vatican. More than one hundred members gathered with Reverend Father Michael Cloney to celebrate Sunday Mass on this momentous occasion. The church in Hoopa has now changed its name to reflect the canonization. It is now, Saint Kateri Catholic Church, located on Kateri Lane
