This fortress was constructed in 1557 by three kingdoms Bulo-bulo, Tondong, and Lamatti, known as Tellu Limppo'e to protect the kingdom from Dutch attaching from Gulf of Bone. The fort finally occupied by Dutch in 1859 and improved the fortress in 1864 to its current form.
