Star of hope Hospital, That was the name then.The name it seems was changed in honour of Dr Janaki a pioneer with her dedicated and selfless service she provided. I worked with her in 1968, Im am very keen to know about the hospital at present. Dr.Karyampudi Email: ksmurty@hotmail.com

  • This is 'Star of Hope Hospital'. Dr Janaki was the head of the hospital for few decades. Thank you for publishing this. I would suggest to put captions at fresh water ponds around Akiveedu and Madiwada, those are the land marks-Aanawalu, Doragari cheruvu etc. I haven't been to Akiveedu since late sixties but I can identify every place from travellers bunglow to upputeru bridge from this.   • I consider myself very fortunate to work as a doctor under the able guidance of Dr.Janaki in 1968.She has dedicated her life to serve the people of Akiveedu and the neighbouring places.I still cherish the memories of my stay at the Hospital.I consider Dr.Janaki as a noble soul who had giver her life to serve deprived people not expecting any thing in return. I am interested in knowing more about the hospital and about Dr.Janaki Dr.Karyampudi
