New World Stages is the state-of-the-art, 5-stage theatrical complex just off of Times Square which has served as the home of Tony Award winning, Guinness Record setting, and Pulitzer Prize earning shows. Matching 1-story, double-height buildings frame the plaza on 49th and 50th Streets. The north building contains the box office, and the south building contains the administrative offices. Both also has a retail component at the inward-facing side.

The postmodern structures are clad in red brick to match the rest of the Worldwide Plaza complex, and have three bays with large round-arches facing the streets. Suspended, black metal canopies cover the glass doors and windows at the ground floor, dividing the bays into upper and lower halves. There is decorative brick banding and vertically-laid bricks at the lower part of the facade, above a limestone water table. Two smaller end bays with large windows flank the three arches; the windows are positioned about halfway up the facade. Separating each bay are projecting brick piers, each with a vertical groove down the center. The roof parapet at the top had a cross-hatch pattern of beige-colored brick, with similar brick creating diamond shapes above the end-bay windows. The roof line is marked by a stone coping. The east and west elevations are similarly designed, each with a single round-arched window.

The north building differs in being slightly shorter (with shorter arches), having white metal extensions to the tops of the outer two suspended canopies, and the addition of a grey metal sign board across the east half of the roof parapet, reading "NEW WORLD STAGES".
