Designed by Indianapolis-based RATIO Architects, this interesting median-pedestrian mall links visitors with Bankers Life Fieldhouse at the eastern terminus and the Indiana Convention Center at the western terminus. The project incorporates a stormwater collection system underneath the pedestrian boardwalk with native trees and plantings for optimal absorption during heavy rain events.

The $12.5 million Georgia Street transformation was unveiled just before Indy hosted Super Bowl XLVI in February 2012 and was the epicenter of Super Bowl Village. Today, this space continues to be used for community events, such as Food Truck Fridays and Downtown Indy Inc.'s New Year's Eve celebrations.
